ACC Launches Educational Webinar Series in UAE

The ACC, with support from Pfizer, will hold the first in a three-part educational webinar series in the United Arab Emirates on Feb. 24. The webinar series is one component of the ACC’s Global Education Program on Heart Disease Prevention, the College’s largest ever global education program, providing physicians and hospital systems in 10 countries access to the latest science and resources to stem the rising tide of cardiovascular disease and equip patients with the knowledge necessary to manage their cardiovascular health. The ACC partnered with the Emirates Cardiac Society to customize the presentations to address region-specific obstacles. "As part of the UAE's "Vision 2021" set out by the UAE Government to rank among the best countries in the world for healthcare, one key objective that has been introduced is the reduction in CV deaths by 2021. The Emirates Cardiac Society strives to improve the cardiovascular health of patients in the UAE through education, research and quality patient care.
