Study: Relationship Between Gender, Socioeconomic Status and CVD

The reduction of socioeconomic inequalities in cardiovascular disease outcomes may require different approaches for men and women, according to a systematic review and meta-analysis published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. The data suggest that women with lower levels of education may be at increased risk for adverse outcomes, but efforts to reduce these disparities will likely improve cardiovascular health across all genders.
