ACC Quality Summit Virtual to Showcase Latest Quality Improvement Research, Innovations

Abstract presentations to demonstrate how to effectively translate data, quality programs into achieving quality care

WASHINGTON (Sep 23, 2021) -

The American College of Cardiology will host the ACC Quality Summit Virtual, Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, 2021. The conference is designed to enhance the knowledge and competency of the entire care team—from clinicians and administrators to quality improvement professionals—to enable them to effectively translate data and quality programs into achieving quality care in their hospitals and health systems.

Over the three-day meeting, sessions will take place across three virtual channels. Some key sessions to watch include:

  • The New Normal: Innovative Approaches to Managing and Measuring Your Accreditation and Registry Workforce
  • The Economics of Accreditation
  • “Selling Quality”…Articulating the Value Proposition and ROI of CV Registries and Accreditation

Special presentations include the opening keynote by Cheryl Pegus, MD, MPH, FACC, Walmart’s executive vice president of health and wellness, on innovation in health care and the Ralph G. Brindis Lecture by ACC Past President Pamela S. Douglas, MD, MACC, addressing the breadth of science unearthed through NCDR data in promoting quality care and more.

J. Douglas Kirk, MD, FACC, chief medical officer at UC Davis Medical Center, will be honored as the 2021 Ray Bahr Award of Excellence winner. The award is named for Raymond Bahr, MD, and is presented annually to an individual who demonstrates extraordinary excellence, vision and leadership in advancing health care.

Abstracts

The ACC Quality Summit Virtual will also feature more than 90 ePosters highlighting quality improvement projects globally.
