Cardiac CT Payment Updates

Webinar Overview

Join ACC's Cardiovascular Imaging Member Section for a webinar to learn what you can do at your hospital to improve payment accuracy for cardiac computed tomography (CT) services.

After years of effort, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) temporarily increased pay for cardiac CT in the hospital outpatient setting starting in 2025. To produce data that makes change possible, imagers need to urge hospitals to change the way they report costs for these services to CMS.

Key Objectives/Learning Outcomes: After attending this webinar, participants will:

  1. Understand the payment change, why it was made and how it can be eliminated.
  2. Understand that cost reporting influences future payment.
  3. Understand will have the knowledge to seek adjustments to cost reporting at their hospital.
