ACC Joins 100+ Organizations in Critical Push to Include Medicare Payment Fix in Upcoming Spending Bill

The ACC and more than 100 other medical organizations signed a joint statement addressed to Congress, urging lawmakers to include essential health provisions to reverse the 2025 cuts to Medicare payment in the upcoming continuing resolution (CR).

This letter was sent in response to the release of draft language for the CR over the weekend, which included an extension of telehealth services under Medicare but no mention of the 2.8% Medicare payment cut that went into effect on Jan. 1.

"It is time for members of the House of Representatives to take a stand to protect Medicare patient access by insisting language addressing the 2025 Medicare physician payment cut be added to the full year CR before the vote," states the letter, along with highlighting the bipartisan approval of the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act of 2025 (H.R. 879).

The ACC will continue to engage with congressional offices and partner medical organizations to push for a Medicare payment fix, and with the government funding deadline fast approaching, the College encourages all members to add their voice to the campaign by sending messages to their lawmakers today.
