Cynthia C. Taub Named US Vice Chair For ACC Asia 2026 and 2027

The ACC has named Cynthia C. Taub, MBA, MBBS, FACC, as U.S. Vice Chair for ACC Asia 2026 and 2027, after which she will transition to the role of U.S. Chair for ACC Asia 2028 and 2029.

Taub currently serves as the Edward C. Reifenstein Chair and Professor of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She is an internationally known expert in cardiac imaging, a prolific clinical investigator and a skilled educator who has shared her expertise in cardiac imaging technologies through more than 130 original manuscripts and among more than 200 trainees. She has been recognized for her work as a mentor with the Richard Popp Mentoring and Teaching Award by the American Society of Echocardiography and is also recipient of the 2025 Joan and Douglas P. Zipes Publication of the Year Award as a PI by the Heart Rhythm Society.

“My goal in this role is to help knowledge dissemination,” says Taub, “serving as a champion for global collaboration, with an overarching objective of improving cardiovascular care in the Asia-Pacific region.” Her work will soon begin for the next ACC Asia conference in South Korea, April 2026.
