New Metrics For Adult Congenital & Pediatric Cardiology Quality Network

Three new metrics for ACC’s Adult Congenital & Pediatric Cardiology Quality Network were recently developed that measure image quality, study comprehensiveness and diagnostic accuracy of echocardiograms. Facilities participating in the Quality Network have the opportunity to collect data on quality metrics across a wide range of clinical areas relevant to the management of adult congenital heart disease and pediatric patients. Participating physicians can take part in quality improvement activities and earn Maintenance of Certification Part IV credit, and hospitals participating in the Quality Network can earn points toward their U.S. News & World Report scores.
