WASHINGTON (Nov. 28, 2012) — The Journal of the American College of Cardiology family is expanding with the launch of JACC: Heart Failure, which will begin publishing in February, the American College of Cardiology announced today. 

"The addition of JACC: Heart Failure to the JACC line-up will help meet the need for more research in this growing field," said ACC President William Zoghbi, MD, FACC. "With the increasing rate of patients suffering from heart failure, the science presented in this new journal will give cardiologists access to valuable new research."

Christopher O’Connor, MD, FACC will serve as Editor-in-Chief of JACC: Heart Failure. The journal will publish on a bi-monthly basis.  

The Journal of the American College of Cardiology first launched in 1983, with JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging and JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions debuting in 2008.
