WASHINGTON (Sep 02, 2020) -

The American College of Cardiology’s 70th Annual Scientific Session in Atlanta will now take place May 15 – 17, 2021. The new dates are two months later than the original March dates.

“With continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, our hope is that the new dates will allow more people to attend in person and take advantage of the opportunity to reimagine global heart health, refocus on science and reconnect with friends and colleagues,” said ACC President Athena Poppas, MD, FACC

Planning for ACC.21 is already underway, with registration and call for abstracts opening in October. ACC.21 will feature the practice-changing science and cutting-edge education expected from the meeting, as well as a robust Expo and Learning Destinations. ACC Annual Scientific Session leaders and staff are also working hard to ensure a safe environment with the latest health and safety guidelines in place. Additionally, an engaging ACC.21 Virtual experience will allow cardiovascular clinicians who are unable to attend in person to participate real-time with a global audience.
