JACC and JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology to Combine Efforts on Heart Rhythm

Editorial Boards for JACC and JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology (JACC: CEP) will integrate their efforts to attract and publish the best electrophysiology (EP) content and produce the greatest patient impact, as one of the first initiatives of incoming JACC Editor-in-Chief Harlan M. Krumholz, MD, SM, FACC.

Under this effort, the JACC: CEP Editorial Board will handle articles related to heart rhythm disorders submitted to JACC, ensuring leading experts across the field provide evaluations and support decisions. This initiative will begin in April, with the first papers published as early as July.

“We are now one team, and I am thrilled to have the internationally renowned JACC: CEP, led by Kalyanam Shivkumar, MD, PhD, FACC, overseeing EP content for JACC,” says Krumholz. “We serve the clinical, scientific, and patient communities to produce the best experience for authors, the best content for readers, and the best content for advancing global cardiovascular health.”

This novel integration will provide authors with seamless experience and opportunities to find the right venues for their work.

JACC: CEP is now fully part of JACC,” says Shivkumar. “We are experiencing great advances in EP, spanning translation science to prevention to intervention. With this innovative organizational change, we can now speak as a single voice and provide unified leadership to accelerate progress across the field of electrophysiology.”

“I feel confident that JACC now has the best EP team, fully prepared to propel the field forward and to do so in ways that will transform what medical journals can accomplish,” adds Krumholz
