Eagle’s Eye View: Sex Disparities in CV Trials; Left Stellate Ganglion Blocks & CABG; Bifurcation Lesions; Managing Resistant Hypertension
In this week’s View, Dr. Eagle looks at continued sex disparities in CV clinical trials. He then examines how preemptive left stellate ganglion block (SGB) is associated with a reduced incidence of postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) in patients undergoing CABG. He follows that with a look at bifurcation lesions as analyzed in the OCTOBER Trial. Finally, Dr. Eagle offers a brief vignette on resistant hypertension and how to manage it.
