JACC Leadership Page: Team Up!

In a recent Leadership Page published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), new ACC President Mary Norine Walsh, MD, FACC, discusses the importance of team-based care and making sure the patient is a member of that team. The ACC recognized the importance of team-based care early on, opening College membership to non-cardiologists in 2003. Walsh also invites new Fellows of the ACC (FACCs) and Associates of the ACC (AACCs) to get involved with College through member sections and committees. “I welcome you to your new roles in the College and look forward to working with you in the years to come,” she writes. “Our team will be better for your participation and involvement.” Read more.
