As a new year is well underway, the Fellows in Training (FIT)/Early Career Page, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, will be running a new series featuring work from early career leaders in emerging cardiac subspecialties.

Michael W. Cullen, MD, FACC, et al., explains how this series – which includes topics on cardio-diabetology, cardio-diabetology, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and gestational diabetes mellitus, and cardio-rheumatology – will showcase innovative approaches to care, introduce new educational needs for cardiology FITs and other learners, and provide FITs and early career cardiologist with opportunities for novel research.

"We hope to publish future invited series on issues relevant to the FIT and early career community in the coming months, and welcome suggestions from our readers regarding topics and contributors," the authors write.
