Collaboration and learning in real time have been essential as the medical community has responded to the public health emergency resulting from COVID-19. The College responded swiftly to the need for credible information in education designed by the COVID-19 Task Force and through the curated information provided through the COVID-19 Hub.

In these pages, we provide an overview of these resources, along with quick tips for navigating this pandemic.

Sharing lessons learned among peers throughout this pandemic has also been instrumental in managing and treating patients. In this issue, we share two more recent stories from the front lines and corresponding lessons learned.

We also look at the impact of COVID-19 in a lower-income region of New York City and the social determinants of health that contribute to the disparities in care and outcomes.

As we face the latest COVID-19 surge and a rising number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths, ACC.org's Kim A. Eagle, MD, MACC, and Deepak L. Bhatt MD, MPH, FACC, summarize the most recent research making headlines this winter.

Time after time, COVID-19 has underscored the strength of the cardiovascular community in the midst of adversity. This issue of Cardiology celebrates and honors the 54,000+ members around the world who continue to work together to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health at an unprecedented time in history.

Thank you for all that you do.
