Ask the Experts: What is the Emerging Science For Worsening HF?

Webinar Overview

In this webinar, Alison Bailey, MD, FACC, and Melvin R. Echols, MD, FACC, discuss the emerging science and explore what is next for worsening HF. Specifically, they will review the new data, including the SUMMIT trial, the STEP-HFpEF program, new data on GLP1-Ras and other emerging science. This webinar is part of the Transform HF Care: New Horizons in Treatment initiative, supported by Bayer AG. Visit the Managing HF Across the Spectrum online course and access additional educational activities on this topic here.

Key Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

  1. Evaluate the epidemiology, risk factors, comorbidities and community aspects associated with HF to determine best practices for care.
  2. Distinguish pathophysiologic characteristics when evaluating and diagnosing HF, including current classifications, genotypes and phenotypes, to analyze best HF risk stratification, prevention and management strategies.
  3. Incorporate guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT), newer therapies and interprofessional team strategies into treatment care plans for the management of HF to improve care coordination, communication and patient outcomes.
