Heart failure (HF) is associated with high rates of hospitalization, with patients transported to hospitals via emergency medical services (EMS), or ambulance. To evaluate EMS use among persons with HF, EMS data from a Midwestern city over an 8-year period were modelled to evaluate predictors of EMS use, including multiple EMS transports.
