Are You Lifetime Certified With ABIM? Join an Informational Webinar on June 29

If you were certified prior to 1990, you are never at risk of losing certification; however, starting in 2024, you will be listed as either “Certified, Participating in MOC” or “Certified, Not Participating in MOC.” To achieve the status of “Certified, Participating in MOC,” you need to earn some MOC points every two years, accumulate 100 points every five years, and pass an MOC assessment by the end of 2023. The Collaborative Maintenance Pathway (CMP) is an MOC assessment option offered by the ACC and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) for meeting maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements, as well as all other education, licensure and certification needs.

With the CMP, there is no need to take a comprehensive exam covering the breadth of your field. Instead, you focus on just 20% of the field each year. Over a span of five years, your entire knowledge base is refreshed without needing to study everything at once. Plus, the CMP is delivered through ACC's self-assessment programs (SAPs) — ACCSAP, CathSAP, EP SAP, and HF SAP — so it includes the CME and MOC that you need, comprehensive educational material and annual updates, all of which are accessible from the comfort of your home or office.

Have questions about the CMP? Join our next informational webinar on Wednesday, June 29 at 8 p.m. ET, where ACC staff will provide an overview of the CMP and its key features. Learn more.
