The Women in Cardiology (WIC) Section Leadership Council will convene its third annual roundtable to discuss politics and challenges for women in cardiology on Tuesday, October 20^th at 8 – 9 am ET. The Chair of the WIC Section Leadership Council, Sandra J. Lewis, MD, FACC, will serve as the roundtable’s moderator. Representatives from congressional offices who have shown support for women's issues will be the featured guests. Topics of discussion will include the current statistics of women in medicine, challenges for those in leadership positions, and the shared experiences and viewpoints of women in the political and medical fields.
