This session will promote diversity in cardiology and highlight the importance of building a strong cardiovascular workforce. During the first half of the session, members will learn about the College's efforts to ensure diversity and inclusion within the field. The latter portion will identify challenges that women (particularly fellows) face during and after training in cardiovascular disease fellowship, and discuss strategies for members of the FIT and Women in Cardiology Sections to use while navigating both training and a career thereafter. Male FITs and faculty are highly encouraged to join to lend a male's perspective and encourage collaboration on these important issues. Come join us and share your ideas, thoughts and suggestions!
