Seeking Volunteers For the FITs on the Go Initiative

ACC.22 is just around the corner, and we are looking for volunteers to join the FITs on the GO (FOTG) initiative! FITs from the Mayo Clinic and ACC have partnered to create FOTG with the goal of spreading cardiology knowledge and building a community among trainees. For the first time, in addition to FITs, we are opening this opportunity to medical residents and medical students.

Each year, we distill key points from major studies into bite-sized video segments by interviewing the leaders in these studies at major conferences. This helps fellows, residents and medical students quickly learn about the latest issues and trials in the field. By sharing these interviews on YouTube and various social media platforms, we also seek to create networking opportunities for trainees to get to know big names in cardiology. You may see a sample of our work here.

If you are interested in joining FOTG, please submit this Google Form. Spots are limited, so register as soon as possible in order to be considered. Priority will be given to people attending ACC.22 in person.

Specific tasks for this event will include:

  • Reaching out to an author/speaker several weeks in advance and requesting participation in a FOTG video interview.
  • Coordinating date/time to interview during ACC (1st choice) / virtually (2ndchoice).
  • Interviewing the author/presenter on video.
  • Sharing the final edited versions of different videos on social media platforms.
