Meet Your New FIT Chair: Eunice Dugan, MD: Get Involved and Balance Your Personal and Professional Goals

Eunice Dugan, MD

"I am from South India and my family immigrated to the U.S. in my early teens. I went to college and medical school in Wisconsin where I grew fond of cheese and the Green Bay Packers! I am currently completing my interventional fellowship year, and will be doing a complete and high-risk coronary intervention and structural fellowship next.

I got involved in the ACC Wisconsin Chapter by becoming a FIT representative for my program, and I was one of the Chief FITs for ACC's Young Scholars Program. These experiences inspired me to apply to be part of the ACC FIT Member Section Leadership Council. After a productive year on the council, I am honored to be the incoming chair for the FIT Member Section after ACC.25.

Outside of my medical training, I am a trained classical singer and have an undergraduate degree in vocal performance. I enjoy keeping up with this by singing in local choirs. I also play volleyball and ultimate frisbee. I have a young daughter, and we love to go to museums and hike with our dogs.

Life is still happening outside of training. Make sure to be intentional with your time and think about how to balance your personal and professional goals in a manner that works for you."
