Cardiovascular Research Initiative (CVRI)
The CVRI aims to connect ACC Medical Student Members and foster high-quality research reviews in the field of cardiology. With the guidance of our exceptional physician mentors, this initiative offers an excellent opportunity for medical students worldwide to collaborate, develop skills, and publish cardiovascular research.
Program Highlights
Since its inception in 2021, the CVRI has:
- Engaged over 200 ACC Medical Student Members globally.
- Published more than 15 articles in reputable cardiology journals.
- Provided mentorship on research topics and academic writing from our physician mentors' research experience.

Research Project Opportunities
In alignment with ACC's mission, CVRI's goal is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all member opportunities. To guarantee complete fairness, minimize bias, and establish equal access, the CVRI utilizes a lottery-based system for project assignments.
