Membership Criteria

US Annual Dues: $785
Canada Annual Dues: $480
Application Fee: $150

Membership Criteria

Applicants are expected to conform to high moral standards and must:

  • Have completed cardiovascular training, if applicable
  • Have a full-time academic and/or hospital appointment
  • Dedicate at least 75% of their professional activities to cardiovascular research
  • Have made significant contributions to the scientific literature and submit a bibliography outlining said contributions
    • Applicants with a PhD* need to have published at least 20 articles with 10 first or senior authorship in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed or Scopus
    • Applicants without a PhD need to have published at least 50 articles with 20 first or senior authorship in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed or Scopus

*PhD includes all terminal degrees, including PharmD, DNP, DNSc, etc.

What You Need to Apply

Please have the following ready as you begin your online application:

  • Two letters of sponsorship from current FACCs. View sponsor letter requirements.
  • Your bibliography should outline your publications in cardiovascular related peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed or Scopus. View bibliography submission guidelines.
  • Copy of your medical diploma or certificate, translated to English if received from an institution outside the US
  • Copy of diploma if you have a PhD
