Membership Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be a current diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM), or
  • Be enrolled in a cardiology training program approved by ACVIM or ECVIM

  • Be a member of a recognized medical or emergency services professional society, or
  • Upload a sponsorship letter from a current Fellow of the American College of Cardiology with their application.
    • Sponsors should be well acquainted with the applicant’s professional activities. They may not be relatives.
    • The letter(s) should be originally written, on the sponsor’s business letterhead and highlight the applicant’s professional accomplishments, such as hospital, medical society or educational leadership.

Membership Criteria

Applicants must upload a sponsorship letter from a current Fellow of the American College of Cardiology with their application.

  • Sponsors should be well acquainted with the applicant’s professional activities. They may not be relatives.
  • The letter(s) should be originally written, on the sponsor’s business letterhead and highlight the applicant’s professional accomplishments, such as hospital, medical society or educational leadership.

Membership Criteria

All applicants must:

  • Hold membership in a recognized health IT society or obtain a letter of recommendation from a current member of the ACC. Society memberships accepted include:
    • Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society
    • eHealth Initiative
    • American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management
    • Medical Group Management Association
    • European Association of Healthcare IT Managers
    • American Health Information Management Association
    • American Medical Informatics Association
  • Hold a current role as a data manager or health IT manager within their current institution or practice
  • Have an advanced degree in IT (BS or above) or active participation with an ACC or STS data registry
  • Spend the majority of their professional time engaged in nonclinical activities. Those cardiovascular team members who spend the majority of their time in clinical engagements should apply via the Cardiovascular Team membership category.

Membership Criteria

  • Applicants must not be eligible for ACC membership in any of the existing categories. Category will be limited to training program coordinators, administrators and managers at general, pediatric, and surgery cardiology training programs; sub-specialty cardiology training programs (e.g., interventional, heart failure, imaging, EP); recognized nursing, physician assistant and clinical pharmacy programs; and recognized cardiology training programs in countries outside the US and Canada.
  • Administrators for nursing, physician assistant and clinical pharmacy shall be in programs accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistants, Inc. (ARC-PA); or Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
  • Applicants must spend at least 75% of their professional time in the role of training program administrator for a CV-related training program.
