How to Recertify For the CCKE
New! Coming Fall 2026
- To continue using the CCK credential, certificants will need to complete a simple recertification process - no additional exam required.
- Recertification is designed to help you stay current in the rapidly evolving field of cardiovascular care. To maintain your credential, you’ll need to earn 75 cardiovascular CME/CE credits every three years.
- If you earned the CCK between 2022-2025, your first recertification cycle will run through Dec. 2028 as part of a one-time alignment
- If you earn the CCK in 2026 or later, you will follow a rolling 3-year recertification cycle based on the date you earned your credential.
- There’s nothing you need to do right now, although you’re welcome to begin earning cardiovascular CME/CE credits. Credits earned through ACC will be applied automatically, and there will be a simple way to report credits earned from other organizations.
More details about the recertification process will be shared here and via email.
