Apply and Register for the CCKE

This is a comprehensive assessment of clinical cardiovascular knowledge, designed for physicians practicing outside the U.S. It is not intended for those who are newly out of training.

Eligibility Requirements

• Licensed physicians qualified to practice CV medicine within countries outside the United States
• Graduation from medical school
• Successful completion of a training program that allows them to practice CV medicine

ACC recognizes that training and practice vary around the world. Applicants who do not fit the listed criteria but believe they qualify may email ccke@acc.org with details of their training and experience for ACC leadership review.

Application Instructions

Submit the application fee and complete the online application before the deadline.

• Submit $30 non-refundable application fee.
• Review and acknowledge legal agreement.
• Complete online application. You will also need to submit copies of:
• Your current medical license
• Medical school certificate/diploma
• Residency or training program certificate/diploma

All diploma, transcript and license details must be in English or translated to English.

If the name on any of your documentation differs from the name on this application, please also submit proof of your name change.

No application will be reviewed without complete information and an application fee payment.

Step 1: Ready to Apply?

• Application fee (nonrefundable): $30
• Please allow at least four weeks for your application to be reviewed.

Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email notification regarding your approval status.

Special Testing Accommodations & Accessibility Considerations

The American College of Cardiology provides reasonable accommodations to examinees with documented needs for special accommodation. Examinees wishing to request accommodation should submit a completed request form and supporting documentation at least 60 days prior to the exam date. Submit requests to ccke@acc.org.
