Real strides have already been made in meeting the goals and priorities outlined by the ACC’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. Highlights include the development of robust diversity and inclusion principles; increased opportunities for recognition and celebration of individuals, Chapters and others making a difference in the profession and their communities; published research identifying and addressing barriers to under-represented communities; and increased opportunities to diversify and develop leaders, as well as grow a deep pipeline of new cardiovascular professionals to carry us into the future.
