WASHINGTON (Jun 18, 2020) -

JACC: CardioOncology Editor-in-Chief Bonnie Ky, MD, MSCE, FACC, leads a new podcast discussion with husband and wife physicians, Jagmeet P. Singh, MD, PhD, FACC, and Noopur Raje, MD, about their personal experiences overcoming COVID-19. Singh and Raje share their experience as clinicians turned COVID-19 patient and caregiver and how they courageously overcame the coronavirus together.

Singh, deputy editor of JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology, was diagnosed with COVID-19 in early March after experiencing a fever, coughing and shortness of breath. Singh discusses his time in the hospital, participation in a COVID-19 clinical trial, and several weeks at home recovering during a time when little was known about the virus. He and Raje made their experience public because of the lack of information at the time he was diagnosed and to further educate the medical community and the public on the impact of COVID-19.

ACC’s members around the world are playing a critical role on the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak. As they work together to serve the cardiovascular patient community during the pandemic, they continue their efforts on maximizing patient and health care workforce safety.
