Shifting the Global Paradigm for Managing CV Risk in Diabetes is a three-day comprehensive program for health care professionals (HCPs) that will help learners increase practical knowledge, enhance core competencies and gain valuable skills in the long-term management of CV Risk in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).  This program is organized and implemented in partnership with the American Diabetes Association.


Al concluir este programa, participantes deben haber aumentado su conocimiento practico, mejorado sus competencias básicas, y adquirido destrezas importantes en el manejo a largo plazo del paciente en riesgo cardiovascular con diabetes mellitus tipo 2.

At the end of this program, participants will have increased their practical knowledge, enhanced their core competencies, and gained valuable skills in the long-term management of cardiovascular risk in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) (the “Program”).

  • Reconocer el posible impacto de COVID-19 en paciente con enfermedad cardio metabólica.
  • Optimizar un abordaje multidisciplinario en poblaciones comórbidas afectadas por enfermedad cardiovascular y diabetes.
  • Revisar el impacto del uso multi-fármaco en pacientes con enfermedad comórbida.
  • Incorporar nuevas terapias cardio metabólicas particularmente enfocadas en la reducción de riesgo cardiovascular en pacientes con diabetes tipo 2.
  • Aplicar las recomendaciones de las guías de tratamiento para pacientes presentando riesgo en desarrollar enfermedad cardiovascular incluyendo la hipertensión.

  • Recognize potential impacts of COVID-19 in patients with cardiometabolic diseases.
  • Optimize multi-disciplinary management of comorbid populations suffering from cardiovascular disease (“CVD”) and diabetes
  • Review polypharmacy burden on patients with comorbid diseases
  • Incorporate new cardiometabolic therapies, particularly related to cardiovascular risk reduction in patients with T2DM.
  • Apply guideline recommendations for the treatment of patients presenting at-risk for CVD including hypertension

El programa esta dirigido principalmente a especialistas en endocrinología y cardiología dentro del territorio Mexicano.
