ACC Value-Based Care in Cardiology Forum

The aim of the 2021 VBC Forum is for attendees to learn from case studies in care innovation and determine takeaways to inform the design or refinement of payment models. For this year, the College has identified four ACC members actively engaged in deploying care innovations intended to facilitate shared accountability across multiple members of a patient's care team.

With much of healthcare being locally driven, it is vital to discuss challenges, and even best practices, with the understanding that there may not be a one size fits all solution for all of cardiology. The goals of this Forum will be to:

  • Learn how ACC members and their clinical and administrative teams are working to achieve accountable care through system-level redesign
  • Determine how the goals of these member-driven initiatives align with the new strategic vision set by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation
  • Hear reactions from selected stakeholders in the move to value, including CMMI, commercial payers, primary care, purchasers, and cardiology leadership.
