New Innovations in Management of Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation

Previously, treatment for tricuspid valve regurgitation was most commonly performed on patients undergoing left sided valve surgery. Recently, there has been an explosion of novel percutaneous treatment modalities. Join the ACC's CV Imaging Section as we review and discuss the current state of tricuspid valve disease and available treatment options using a case-based approach.

Learning objectives:

  1. Understand the anatomy of the tricuspid valve and the prognosis of chronic tricuspid valve regurgitation
  2. Understand the essentials of multimodality imaging of the tricuspid valve before, during and after tricuspid valve intervention
  3. Understand the different treatment options including novel percutaneous devices currently under investigation for treatment of chronic, severe tricuspid regurgitation.
