Thinking Outside the Sternotomy Box During Pregnancy: How Can We Use Catheter-Based Interventions for Peripartum Valvular Disease?
Webinar Overview
Join the ACC Reproductive Health & Cardio-Obstetrics Section for a discussion highlighting the recent JACC: Advances article Catheter-Based Interventions for the Management of Valvular Heart Disease During Pregnancy.
During this webinar we will discuss the management of severe valvular disease in pregnancy including stenotic and regurgitant lesions. Specifically, timing and indication for peripartum catheter-based interventions including transcatheter valve replacement and balloon valvuloplasty will be addressed.
We will have a multidisciplinary Q&A session with cardiologist and obstetrician panelists and discuss nuanced decision making regarding management of valvular disease during pregnancy using catheter-based interventions from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The target audience includes general and imaging cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare team members with an interest in cardio-obstetrics.
As always, please read the article ahead of time. Bring your questions and participate in a live Q&A session with the article authors and expert panelists.
