Giving Tuesday

May 5, 2020
For more than 70 years the American College of Cardiology has focused on supporting cardiovascular clinicians around the world and finding ways to leverage innovation and knowledge to optimize cardiovascular care and patient outcomes. Today, the ACC consists of more than 54,000 committed individuals united by a shared mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health.
This commitment to patients and the profession has been underscored over the last several months as members around the world have rallied to play a crucial role on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether providing front-line perspectives from China or the U.S.; sharing their own personal battles with COVID-19; or helping develop clinical guidance in between seeing patients or managing hospital response teams; the cardiovascular community is helping, healing and saving lives.
Throughout the ACC’s history the profession has withstood wars, natural disasters and acts of terrorism, and we will withstand COVID-19. This Giving Tuesday is more important than ever, not just because your support will go to help further our COVID-19 efforts happening now, but because it will also help us ensure the next generation of cardiovascular clinicians are equipped to lead through other crises and times of change and disruption. A contribution of even $25 can help us provide leadership training for emerging leaders, ensure a diverse pipeline of future cardiovascular clinicians, and tangibly address global health – all of which are more important than ever before.
Thank you for all that you are doing each and every day for your patients and your communities. The world is a better place because of you.
Sincerely,
John Gordon Harold, MD, MACC
