ACC/SCAI's Interventional Cardiology Overview and Board Prep Virtual Experience

Join us for the ACC/SCAI Interventional Cardiology Overview and Board Prep Course to receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based review of interventional cardiology! Anchoring on the ABIM Board Certification Blueprint, the overall goal of this course is to review and update knowledge and competency for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the full spectrum of interventional cardiology for physicians preparing for the initial certification exam or maintenance of certification assessment or seeking a comprehensive review of interventional cardiology.

Target Audience
This course is intended for interventional cardiology Fellows in Training preparing for initial board certification and practicing interventional cardiologists preparing for a maintenance of certification assessment or seeking an in-depth review of interventional cardiology. The secondary target audience is interventional cardiology team professionals, particularly physician assistants and advanced practice nurses.

Cancellation, substitution or transfer to another course is allowed if written notification is received four weeks before a scheduled course. A full refund minus a $250 processing fee will be given for written notifications received fewer than four weeks before the first day of the course. No refund will be given for no-shows.

ACC reserves the right to cancel the course in the unlikely event of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a course is canceled or postponed, ACC will refund registration tuition but cannot be held responsible for other costs or expenses, including cancellation/change penalties assessed by airlines, travel agencies or hotels.

The course will be held at Heart House at the American College of Cardiology, 2400 N St. NW, Washington, DC.

A block of rooms has been established at The Westin Georgetown. The room rate is $179 plus state and local taxes per night. The ACC room block is scheduled to be held until Friday, September 9, 2022, but may sell out prior to this date. Any reservations made after September 9 shall be at the hotel's current available rate.

ACC is committed to health and safety at the ACC/SCAI Interventional Cardiology Overview and Board Prep Course and there is a COVID-19 vaccination requirement in place for the meeting. This requirement (no exceptions) will enable access to Heart House and will apply to all meeting participants and ACC staff. Although a booster vaccination is not required to attend ACC/SCAI Interventional Cardiology Overview and Board Prep Course, it is very strongly encouraged by the ACC.

To manage this process efficiently and effectively, and to safeguard the participants expected at the ACC/SCAI Interventional Cardiology Overview and Board Prep Course, it is important for all participants to adhere to the vaccination requirements. Anyone not able to show proof of vaccination cannot be considered fully vaccinated and will be denied entry to Heart House.

Please carefully read the information below which will guide you through the entire vaccination verification process. To avoid delays during the entry process into Heart House, it is strongly recommended that you complete your vaccine verification in advance of travel to Washington, DC.

Definition of Full Vaccination
An individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-does vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine. The final dose of COVID-19 vaccine must be administered at least two weeks prior to arrival. Although a booster vaccination is not required to attend the ACC/SCAI Interventional Cardiology Overview and Board Prep Course, it is very strongly encouraged by the ACC.
