ACC Around the World Interactive Video Conference Held from Heart House to India

In September, the ACC held a live-streamed interactive video conference from Heart House to four cities in India. Audiences in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata viewed a live lecture on “Hypertension: Bridging the Gap between Recommendation and Practice” from Suzanne Oparil, MD, FACC, professor of medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. A faculty member from each city in India then gave a hypertension lecture and there were opportunities after each lecture for interaction between the audience, faculty members, and Oparil. More than 500 cardiologists and primary care physicians from India took part in this first of its kind, multi-city video conference.
