FDA Approves Type 2 Diabetes Treatment; Additional Drugs Approved
The FDA approved alogliptin (Nesina), a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor, for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Additionally, two combination drugs that include alogliptin were approved: alogliptin combined with metformin (Kazano) and alogliptin combined with pioglitazone (Oseni).
