Recently, members of the ACC's Indiana Chapter and American Heart Association (AHA) patient advocates met with state legislators to support bills aimed at improving heart health in scholastic athletes, preventing sudden cardiac arrest, expanding cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training and strengthening the state's smoke-free law. Members of the ACC’s Kentucky Chapter also met with state legislators recently to advocate for smoke-free policies and CPR and AED training programs as part of the Kentucky ACC/AHA You’re the Cure Lobby Day.
