On Oct. 17, the ACC submitted comments to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) in response to a request for information on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) reporting program. The College encouraged ONC to improve EHR usability, interoperability, design and security through updated certification and maintenance requirements and user-reported criteria. Improvements to usability and interoperability are essential to reducing administrative burdens facing clinicians and improving EHR satisfaction.
