Kevin Shah is an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist at the University of Utah. He earned his medical degree from University of California, Irvine, where he was inducted in to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Diego where he won the Kaiser Teaching Award among Housestaff and the House Officer of the Year Award. He completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at UCLA where he was nominated for the UCLA Fellow's Teaching Award and received the William W. Parmley Young Author Achievement Award from JACC. He trained in Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology at the Cedars Sinai Heart Institute in Los Angeles, CA. He serves on the AHA/ACC Task Force on Clinical Data Standards, AHA/ACC Heart Failure Measures Set Writing Committee, AST Thoracic & Critical Care Community of Practice Executive Committee and as the ACC.org FIT Heart Failure Section Editor. His interests are in Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant Cardiology, and South Asians and Heart Disease.
