Leslie L. Davis, NP, PhD, FACC

Professional Bio:

Dr. Leslie Davis is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the Univ of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Since 2000 she has maintained a part-time practice as a NP in cardiology. As a clinician, she focuses her care on patients with hypertension, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Dr. Davis is a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Heart Association, and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association. In 2017 she served as a coauthor for the 2017 ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway for Optimization of Heart Failure Treatment: Answers to 10 Pivotal Issues About Heart Failure with Reduced Ejection Fraction. In addition, she has served as editor for the book Cardiovascular Nursing Secrets (2004), as guest editor for two special cardiovascular editions in the Journals for NPs (2013 and 2019), has authored/coauthored articles 30+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, 13 book chapters, and other scholarly products related to cardiovascular topics.
