March is Women’s History Month, a celebration of the profound contributions generations of women have made to society. The ACC wants to especially recognize and honor the indelible mark so many women have left — and will continue to leave — on medicine in general and the field of cardiology in particular. Throughout the month of March, the ACC is waiving the $150 application fee for women cardiologists who have completed their cardiovascular training within the last two years or who are within six months of completing training — just use code FITtoFACC. The ACC strongly believes that when more women are in a position to share and apply their experience and expertise, the College benefits, certainly, but the entire field of cardiology is elevated and the goal of transforming cardiovascular care and improving heart health becomes ever more attainable.
