Stay Current and Certified With EP SAP; CMP Performance Assessment Window Opening Soon

Cardiology Magazine

Did you know? You now have the option to use EP SAP to maintain your American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification through the Collaborative Maintenance Pathway (CMP). The CMP integrates lifelong learning with assessment and is delivered through ACC's Self-Assessment Programs, including EP SAP. EP SAP now helps you to stay licensed, certified, and up-to-date in the field of clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

The next Performance Assessment window for clinicians enrolled in ACC's EP SAP CMP will take place June 23 – 29. The ABIM has extended deadlines for all Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirements to Dec. 31, 2022, so those with MOC assessment requirements due in 2020 or 2021 or 2022, must pass ONE CMP Performance Assessment in 2020, 2021, OR 2022 to be counted as meeting your MOC assessment requirement. Instead of passing every year during this time, you only need to pass once. Those who pass a CMP Performance Assessment in 2021 do not need to worry about passing in 2022, while those who fail in 2021 have two more chances to pass in 2022. Learn more about CMP Performance Assessment requirements and/or the CMP in general as an alternative to maintaining ABIM certification at ACC.org/CMP.
