JACC Leadership Page: Leadership in Cardiology

Allen Seals, MD, FACC, the immediate-past chair of ACC’s Board of Governors, and Mark Hertling, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general, discuss the importance of medical leadership and the critical need to involve physicians in significant roles in the health care environment. They describe how hospitals can use a military training model to improve leadership and competency in physicians.
