    Anchoring on the ABIM Board Certification Blueprint, the overall goal of this course is to review and assess participants’ knowledge and competency in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in preparation for the initial Board Certification or recertification.

    Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to —

    • Identify appropriate prevention, diagnostic, treatment, and management decisions in the care of cardiovascular disease.
    • Identify the primary cardiovascular disease states as outlined by the ABIM blueprint.
    • Summarize recent ACC/AHA Practice Guidelines as they pertain to the practice of cardiovascular medicine.
    • Demonstrate ECG, imaging and clinical diagnostic interpretation skills.
    • Demonstrate familiarity with the scope of the ABIM examination, including multiple choice questions format and relevant answer sheets.

      Cancellation, substitution or transfer to another course is allowed if written notification is received four weeks before a scheduled course. A full refund minus a $250 processing fee will be given for written notifications received fewer than four weeks before the first day of the course. No refund will be given for no-shows.

      In the unlikely event that the course is canceled, the College will refund the registration tuition in full but is not responsible for any travel or hotel costs you may incur.

      ACC reserves the right to cancel the course in the unlikely event of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a course is canceled or postponed, ACC will refund registration tuition but cannot be held responsible for other costs or expenses, including cancellation/change penalties assessed by airlines, travel agencies or hotels.

      The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

      The ACCF designates this live activity for a maximum of 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


      MOC Statement
      Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 40 points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion data to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

      The room rate is $214 plus 16.4 percent state and local taxes (subject to change) per night.
