COURSE OVERVIEW/STATEMENT OF NEED
The American College of Cardiology is committed to improving the outcomes of patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD) by addressing the educational needs of cardiovascular specialists. The Cardiovascular Conference at Snowmass fulfills this need by helping cardiovascular specialists keep abreast of new and emerging approaches in the treatment and management of challenging and controversial topics in CVD.
Focusing on interactivity, state-of the-art knowledge and practical decision-making, this unique conference will engage participants in discussions, debates and potential controversies using real-world cases. Faculty include renowned experts on the cutting edge of clinically relevant CVD data.

The overall goal of this course is to critically evaluate the latest approaches to CV patient care and to incorporate these updates into contemporary clinical practice.
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to
- Employ practical, evidence–based strategies in the prevention of cardiovascular disease including lipid and atherosclerosis management.
- Evaluate contemporary strategies in the treatment of valvular heart disease
- Describe current treatment approaches in the investigation and management of coronary artery disease
- Analyze emerging trends across the heart failure care continuum
- Identify best practices for the management of patients with atrial and ventricular arrhythmias
- Employ appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies in patients with congenital heart disease and in patients with pulmonary hypertension
This course is intended for cardiovascular specialists. Primary care physicians, Fellows in Training, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, nurses in cardiology and other medical professionals interested in general cardiology management will also find this course of value.

ACC reserves the right to cancel the course in the unlikely event of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a course is canceled or postponed, ACC will refund registration tuition but cannot be held responsible for other costs or expenses, including cancellation/change penalties assessed by airlines, travel agencies or hotels.
The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The ACCF designates this live activity for a maximum of 22.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion data to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME.
The American College of Cardiology Foundation is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
The ACCF designates this educational activity for a maximum of 22.75 continuing education hours. Requirements for successful completion are attendance in a session in its entirety and completing the evaluation tool.

- Aspen Snowmass Airport (ASE) 6 miles from Snowmass
Snowmass is located 6 miles from the Aspen Snowmass Airport (ASE). A number of airlines offer service to ASE:
