Eagle's Eye View: Your Weekly CV Update From ACC.org (Week of June 5)

This week's View follows the latest information on anticoagulation therapy in various disease situations. Given the addition of the new anticoagulants that have come out in recent years, there is a lot of confusion about when to use what drug. As a result, since 2013, the College has maintained an Anticoagulation Management Clinical Topic Collection on ACC.org, where many of these questions are considered. Do you know the potential harms of anticoagulating a patient with an unprovoked venous thromboembolism? Do you know when to interrupt anticoagulation for a patient with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation and how to bridge him or her through surgery? The resources on ACC.org can help you answer these questions and more.
