ACC Expresses Sympathy Following Recent Natural Disasters in Mexico and the Caribbean

The ACC expresses its deepest sympathy and heartfelt support for those impacted by the devastating and deadly earthquakes that have taken place in Mexico in the past two weeks, as well as those left in the wake of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. As with those severely impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the College recognizes that many ACC members, their families and patients have been affected. The College has reached out to the societies and Chapters in many of these devastated areas to offer assistance and support.

“The devastation caused by these recent natural disasters is immense and far-reaching, affecting many people including ACC members and the patients they serve,” said ACC President Mary Norine Walsh, MD, FACC. “We share in their sorrow and wish the people of these beautiful cities and islands peace and strength to rebuild. We also thank the many ACC members who are volunteering their time to provide aid and begin the rebuilding efforts.”
