For the second year, the ACC’s Global ASCVD Prevention Program was recognized by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) with a Power of A Silver Award.

ASAE’s Power of A awards honor the outstanding accomplishments of associations and industry professionals in the areas of enriching lives, creating a competitive workforce, preparing society for the future, driving innovation and making a better world.

ACC’s global prevention program, which launched in September 2016 through the generous sponsorship of Pfizer, Inc., provides physicians and hospital systems in 10 countries with access to the education, resources and practical tools needed to stem the rising tide of cardiovascular disease in their countries and equip patients with the knowledge necessary to manage their cardiovascular health.

The ACC is partnering with its extensive network of international chapters and working with local cardiology societies to customize the education in a way that meets the unique needs of physicians, patient communities and health care systems in these countries. Countries include: Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Argentina, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.

This program was supported by an educational grant from Pfizer, Inc.
