Sandoz, Novartis Issue Recalls For Improperly Packaged Entresto and Isosorbide Dinitrate

Sandoz Inc. and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. recently issued voluntary recalls for 470,000 packages of various of prescription medications, including certain lots of Entresto and Isosorbide Dinitrate, due to child-resistant packaging failures. The blister packaging for the affected medications does not currently meet the Poison Prevention Packaging Act requirements for child resistance. Consumers should continue to use medications as directed, but they should secure blister cards out of the reach of children.
