We finally got a break in our clinical schedule today and were able to catch up on life. We went into town to try to access Wi-Fi; however, the Wi-Fi signal was so poor I was unable to send any emails, including my blog, or even get What’s App messages.
I joked with one of our UK medical students, Sajeed Ali, as he wrote a postcard, that his handwritten message would likely go out and be received before mine.
After lunch, I held my final echo teaching session with the last four medical students and we took turns scanning each other. Today was filled with Scrabble, chess playing and a trip into town to watch a film titled Seven Years in Tibet. It is a great movie about Tibetan-Chinese relations and I highly recommend it.
